Community Health Needs Assessment

The CHNA is a powerful tool in helping us understand the health disparities that exist here in San Francisco and how we can gear our efforts together towards addressing the root causes of inequities and developing better interventions, policies and infrastructure.

What we've done

Our past successes include a Sugar-Sweetened Beverages (SSB) initiative that helped implement public and private policies to reduce consumption of sugary beverages, develop San Francisco’s Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to inform informing the community about San Franciscans’ health, and promote a better understanding of health inequities, and implementing food security screenings at local community-based organizations that serve marginalized populations.
